STATEMENT
While watching all of the televised Presidential debates this year, I
was attracted to your platform, your presence and your passion. I had no
idea you were single until I read about your dream of finding your First
Lady through this imaginative introduction process. Fortunately, I share
your dream of finding a true love who would team his talents with mine
to make the world a better place. My true love would be a lot like me in
terms of values, goals and outlook on life: I'm optimistic, adventurous
and open hearted. I see life's challenges as a doorway to spiritual
growth and creative change. I value communication, kindness and
chemistry in a relationship. My vision of true love is to joyfully
commit to keeping the magic alive while we accomplish our life's goals
together. If you could embrace this vision and enhance it, then it would
be worthwhile to learn more about each other. My life is wonderful and
I'd like to share it someday with someone who shares my vision of
"True Love" -- which is more than a feeling. True Love is a
choice we make each day -- to honor your partner's needs, to support
each other's growth and cherish your beloved so you each feel close even
when career demands keep you apart. If this sounds corny or improbable
to you, then we would not be a good match. If this sounds like a
wonderful adventure on the path with heart, then I hope you will contact
me and share some things you'd like me to know about you. Best of luck
in your Presidential campaign and in your personal search for your First
Lady.

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
I am an artist/oil painter....and feel very grateful to be able to do
what I love each and every day. I believe that art is a common language
that all people of the world can understand. Just like a smile. I also
believe that art can break down barriers and open new doors to cultural
awareness and growth.
I am currently working on a series of new work in oils on canvas that
address social, environmental and spiritual issues of life in the new
millenium. I was trained in classical, realist painting and I started
selling my work as a teen "on the sidewalks" in shows around
Denver.
In the 90's I was the Administrative Assistant to a Fire Chief &
Building Inspector. I was the only woman on a volunteer department in
the beginning and sadly, four guys quit when I joined. But the Chief and
other members always stood behind me and I grew to love them very much.
I became state certified as a FFI/EMT-B at 36 years old. (*and what a
challenge that was ...classes on top of my normal 40hr. work week and
answering calls at all hours of the night, lol!) I shall never regret
one second of the hundreds and hundreds of hours I gave.
My "best friend" is my dog.... she's 1/2 wolf... I found her
13 years ago in a shelter, adopted her and I am so lucky to have been
touched by her spirit. She's very good at working people in a crowd, so
much so, that I have nicknamed her "Hollywood"...... she's a
total ham.
In closing, if I could have wishes granted, I would wish for the
following....
*for life to be more alive and more of death and war to die.
*to end the suffering and hunger that far too many children endure in
the world.
*to change the rampant mindset of corruption and greed.
*to keep music in my soul...and laughter in my heart.
*to be able to see glimpses of the Eternal in a multidimensional and
multicultural way.
*to remember Crystal Blue Persuasion.
*to treat Earth as our greatest friend and ally.
*to believe that the concept of brotherhood can replace the reality of
hatred...one smile at a time.
*that goodness can be the light that shines from many people and it can
transform the terror of today.
A fact of modern life these days is that there are a lot of good people
from all walks of life, and all age groups who are alone.....content but
alone.... yet, they still have hope to create more. I too have that
dream. Like Led Zep said.... one and one don't make two..... one and one
make one. But first, you have to make a new friend...... |

STATEMENT
A native New Yorker, I have lived in Europe for many years, so I have a
very broad view of the world and a unique perspective on America. I
would like this country to adopt some of Europe's enlightened practices,
especially regarding medical care and social security. I would like to
see American society adopt new attitudes and opportunities for the
elderly. And I would like to have much more of our national budget going
towards education and culture, rather than defense (which is not defense
at all, but offense!).
I was an anti-war
activist during the Vietnam war, co-founded Women Overseas for Equality
(in Belgium) during the '70's, and have been active in Democrats Abroad

I've been married and divorced, have three grown sons, and hope

I am a woman with great passion on many issues: health care, consumer

The top 10 reasons why I should win a dinner date with Denis Kucinich
over any other candidate:
10. He is at least 4 inches taller than me.
9. I live in New York. Its cheaper to fly me to D.C. than "some gal
from Duluth".
8. I am African American/Native American/German/French Creole. Top THAT
for bringing in diverse voters!
7. I only weigh 102 pounds. Hey, I don't eat much!
6. May be the only candidate that can actually spell
"Kucinich"!
5 Woo the "southern voters by letting him introduce me on the
campaign trail as his "Maid"!
4. Probably the only woman in American who hasn't dated Bill Clinton.
(Fresh Meat!)
3. Can help him decorate Air Force One as his "Flying Bachelor
Pad"!
2. Did I mention that I don't eat much? And the Number One reason why I
should win a dinner date with Denis Kucinich over any other candidate.
1. I make a KILLER pot of Gumbo!

STATEMENT
It is appropriate
that I am submitting my name for a date with one who I already feel is
my soul mate!!! I have never played the internet dating game until this
time. I knew I was saving it up for the best man. In fact I have loved
you Dennis since I first heard about you in January 2003, and how you
started a cabinet level Department of Peace!!! As I looked further into
your life and accomplishments, I found myself enthralled with all that
you are, and all that you aspire to be. I realize you are my match in
terms of evolution because I hear you refer to our need to evolve out of
this antiquated system that creates wars and how you will work to make
war archaic. I often use the word evolve because I have always seemed to
be ahead of my time when dealing with most people. Please don't think
that I am exhalting you or me above anyone else, because I realize that
everyone is at their own level of evolution. I also resonate so well
when you say we need to reach out to the world community with love and
helping hands because we are all interconnected. I feel as you do that
all of life is sacred and divine, and like you, I am a vegetarian (I
would be vegan except for Ben and Jerry's chocolate fudge brownie frozen
yogurt) for both moral reasons as well as its life enhancing benefits. I
don't have any children, but I do let my inner child come out and play
sometime. You will like her a lot . She is funny and full of wild eyed
wonder about life and it's meaning. She enjoys dancing, hiking in the
woods, sunset walks on the beach, water sports, bicycling, travelling
around the world, foreign films, comedy shows, and campaigning for
Dennis Kucinich.
I loved it when I
saw you last month in Miami, and how you told a group of people that no
human being is illegal, when you addressed the Haitian refugee
situation. When we withdraw from WTO and NAFTA and make the world
playing field level and fair for all in billateral trade, people will
not want to come to the U.S. to seek a better life, and many who are
here will want to return to their home. You might remember meeting me in
Miami when I shook your hand and said "It is an honor to meet you
Mr. President, and congratulated you on being asked by England to advise
on their creating a Department of Peace. I told you I love you Dennis.
It is a very pure and sincere love and deep respect for the beacon of
light you are.
Oh, here is a
complaint about you I have heard from several people. You need to have
more of a sense of humor and laugh. I am the perfect one who can help
you find that balance that lies between the super serious man, and one
who know hows to lighten up !!! I love a sense of humor. Laughter is the
music of the soul.
PICK ME !!! I am basically baggage free, and would love to travel with
you.

STATEMENT
Thank you for taking
the time to have dinner with and “interview” a potential partner of
like mind and lifestyle. I have been a strict vegetarian for 26 years
based on the acknowledgement and commitment to a reverence for life in
all forms. I grew up in a working class Portuguese and Irish family in
Newton, Massachusetts. Work ethic was paramount to our viewpoint in
life. My father was honest and widely loving. He raised his own five
children and was a surrogate father to eight of his nieces and nephews
living upstairs with their widowed mother in the house owned by my
grandmother.
As a young couple,
my late husband and I educated ourselves as to the political and social
issues of the day. We marched on Washington in protest of Vietnam,
boycotted grapes and joined protests in support of migrant workers,
brought our children to peace vigils, and supported civil and women’s
rights.
Over the years I
have maintained a passion for politics, social issues, equal education
and personal values to which I hold myself accountable. I am deeply
concerned about the widening rift between the rich and poor in this
country and the detrimental effects it will have on society into the
future. These problems may be more widely reaching than some care to
think about. The present approach to healthcare is what I would describe
as bordering on chaotic and ignores a common sense approach. I could go
on forever. I am now retired and am ready to realize my fantasy of
becoming the president of the United States – well not exactly but
close enough!

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
Why should you choose
me to be with Dennis Kucinich? Simple: I'm already in love with him.
I have heard Dennis Kucinich speak about 30 times, have watched hours of
videos of his speaking engagements, and read his speeches and his
wonderful book, A Prayer for America. I'm passionately devoted to the
principles of his campaign, and work very hard to help get the word out
about his vision. Because of this, I know him very well, but he knows
virtually nothing about me. I would be thrilled to have an opportunity
to spend a couple of hours with him over dinner. (I'm vegan, like he is,
so I could eat wherever he prefers.)
I celebrate diversity, and I care deeply about the need for us to take
better care of each other, and for everyone to have a chance in this
world. I want us to care for our planet better, too, and to live
together in peace and prosperity.
In the four months since I met Dennis Kucinich, I've given more than 20
percent of my take-home pay to his campaign and I've worked hours and
hours as a supporter. In fact, my G.P.A., budget, and housekeeping have
all taken a beating due to my commitment to him and his campaign. If you
think that's worth one dinner, one conversation with the man I'm head
over heels in love with, then please choose me.
I don't really care about being a first lady, I just want to be Mrs.
Dennis Kucinich. That's true whether he's the next President or the next
crossing guard at some elementary school somewhere. So I'm saying, right
here in front of God and everybody, I adore this man. Please help my
dream come true! Thank you very much.

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
The First Lady is
defined as "wife to the president" which of course is true but
in that definition there is lacking an even greater truth. The First
Lady is the partner, the comforter, as well as the confidante of the one
person that has the power to help and heal humanity. Now, you may ask
why I used the word 'humanity." I use this word for the simple
reason that his actions as
president of the United States becomes an example to the entire world
and thus its people. Therefore the choice of ones First Lady is as
important to the all, as it is for the one. I come to this moment
healthy in body, mind and spirit. In order to heal the whole one must
first heal the self. If one can find clarity and higher consciousness,
only then can one have the tools required to serve the whole. This I can
bring to the table at dinner with Dennis. I have stood for peace and
well being all my life. I have never taken up picket signs nor walked in
protest but chose instead to heal the issues that plague our nation
within myself, for it begins with each one of us. To become the cure one
must extract oneself from the problem. On a more practical note, I am
educated, spiritual, healthy, extremely passionate and dedicated to the
liberation of the
human family. I am not "right" nor "left" but a
beautiful balance of both and it is my intention, to build the bridge
that spans the horizons and to clear the path for all to cross into
freedom.

I had the privilege
of meeting Dennis Kucinich when he spoke in Miami. I chauffeured his
California and Cleveland campaign organizers. A vegetarian myself, I
selected and bought his Vegan lunch. Knowing what an avid reader he is,
I gave him a book. Why, then, am I entering this contest? Believing 100%
in what Dennis Kucinich stands for I would like to offer my services as
a friend, social companion, intelligent and gracious hostess,
international ambassador and partner in creating his visionary New
Order.
I was raised in an
ardent pro-union family and am a member of the National Writers Union.
My father, producer of the original "Rudolph The Red-Nosed
Reindeer," against Columbia's protests, believed the song would be
a hit because Rudolph was "The Underdog" and a winner in the
end. The world has this song thanks to him. One person can sure make a
difference! Along with Rudolph, Pete Seeger, The Weavers, Woody Guthrie
and Paul Robeson were mentors for me. In Jr. High during the McCarthy
era, I won the name of "Pinko" because I dared to defy my
eighth grade social studies teacher who called me a
"communist" for going to a Paul Robeson concert - the one in
Peekskill, NY in 1947, where the police whipped their Billy clubs about,
fleeing crowds fell to be trampled, and thugs punctured tires and bashed
the windows of the school buses so many of us had ridden to the concert.

developing my personal growth by experiencing new things and meeting
many people. Ideally, I want to try every adventure once, and have been
steadily marking my "did that's" off my list - such as
whitewater rafting, climbing 14'ers, parachuting, etc. As you may
surmise, I have loads of energy.
I admire Dennis
for his leadership views on our nation's direction (I'm in tune with
political issues and truly believe in everything Dennis stands for. I
have to say that we are on the same wavelength in ways to make our
nation and the entire planet a better place for us and all generations
to follow. I have been attending Kucinich Meetup's here in Colorado
Springs, encourage many of my friends to support and vbote for Dennis
and would love to be active in speaking for him. Perhaps my career and
degree is leading me toward these activities. Meeting Dennis and
becoming more involved in his life is all I can hope for at this time.
I'll look for laughter, like-spiritedness and personal atrraction as a
basis for further interest on both of our parts.

PERSONAL STATEMENT
What an great group
of women! There are several who would do the country proud as First
Lady. I'm a Northern Californian by way of Seattle and New
York. For the past 17 years I have been living just outside a rural
"New Age" healing community for whom I work as a
writer/photographer/publisher and Minister. Pryor to that, I published a
magazine in Marin and was a political activist, and before that, a happy
anti-war hippy on the Lower East Side. My California New Age community
is so peaceful and open that people from every religious, national and
ethnic background live here and feel at home, including my ex-husband.
My 15 year old daughter and I have a creekside house in the woods with
cats and chickens and a passionate interest in sustainable living.
During the week, she lives at her ethnically Chinese Buddhist school 70
miles away and every Friday I drive there to help with her model U.N.
club - I try to present both sides of global issues such as terrorism
and trade, but my liberal convictions do come through. I am especially
concerned about the break up of families and communities - the inability
of modern society to let humans be human. Dennis, your prayer for
America made me cry. Thank you for giving me positive motivation instead
of just that gnawing fear that I've lived with since the 2000 elections.
I am and will continue to be a tireless supporter. Our time will come.

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
I learned about Dennis Kucinich through an online survey that matched
people up with candidates based on common beliefs and values. I scored
100% with Dennis, was intrigued immediately, and visited his website.
After reading his platform and past speeches, I realized the survey had
been completely accurate...Dennis and I are a 100% perfect match. I am
passionately in support of making peace not only the number one priority
of America, but also the world. I pray I will see the day when all
Americans will receive full health care, education, and equality under
the law. Most of all, I wish for all of humanity to feel interconnected
and to look at things spirtually, practical or not. Dennis voices these
philosophies better than anyone I've ever heard (except maybe Bob
Dylan...I'm a huge fan!), and I would be proud and honored to be First
Lady during the Kucinich presidency. Despite my young age, I am a
serious writer and philosopher. I feel my age is actually an asset in
these pursuits, allowing me to tackle issues from a unique and fresh
perspective. I would use my position as the youngest First Lady in
history to energize my apathetic generation and hopefully ignite them
with the same passion for justice and truth that Dennis and I share. On
a less serious note, I'm 5'3, 120 lb. with long blond hair, and hazel
eyes. I love rock and roll, practice yoga, and recently became a
vegetarian. (Not quite vegan yet, Dennis, but I'm working on it!) My
greatest love by far is religion-- a very holistic and mystical
Christianity I've studied for the past three years. I definitely feel
that Dennis and I would be on a similar spiritual wavelength and
together could be a dynamic force in changing the world. And it needs
changing! Putting all this "First Lady" business aside,
Dennis, I would love to meet you and become good friends. Hopefully I'll
be able to tell everyone someday that I once wrote a personal ad to the
President of the United States. |

Dear Dennis -- Or as they address you in Washington, DC, the
Honorable Dennis Kucinich. Honorable, indeed, I find you so. And, it
would be an honor to be in your company for an evening in the fine State

fearless and passionate advocate for prosperity and peace, and I seek
the same in my soulmate. We share many core spiritual values, teachings,
and beliefs, as well as our mutual love of being catalysts for change in
our world via politics. In addition, we already share a common
connection through friends. My best female friend's best female friend

think you might find that your national television debates are easier.
Wink.) You'll have to choose me to find out whom I'm talking
about....but I'll give you a clue...she lives in New Mexico. Another
reason that I think you should choose me is because being a resident of
the Greater Washington, DC Metropolitan area, I've received date offers
from Republican men over the past three years--given W. and all--which
means, I've declined, and therefore, I have gone dateless! I guess that
I am looking for the right Democrat to join me on my "path for

First of all I'm a home girl, in fact one of Dennis' constituents so our

which exists to this day because of him I may add, or even at his
campaign headquarters
while we share an order of hummus while packing Kucinich Bumper Stickers
to send to various national locations. I appreciate that he always calls
when I ask, he responds with sensitivity to my concerns and requests for
appropriate votes on legislation, always taking the high road with due
honor and respect for our American Constitution. He has passion for
life, freedom, equality and he has the soul of a poet. He is a tireless
advocate and idealist for world peace and most importantly, he has never
forgotten where he came from. He is eloquent and has passion. His depth
and empathy impresses me with the sincerety he displays. He drives an
American car. He is a genius. He is pure and thoughtful, wise and
experienced. He possesses the qualities that a woman my age would want.
I am 48, working class, employed as an advocate for victims of violent
crime. My life's experiences and wisdom gained would complement his
immeasurable qualities. The only problem is that I am a smoker, but I
suppose I would quit tobacco for him, as I know he once became a vegan
out of love. Most of all, he is guided by love and a pure spirit,
and I would be a true complement to his nature and drive, a refreshing
change from the typical Washington D.C. wife.

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
Why should Dennis choose me to represent the country as First Lady? I
believe we speak the same language and want the same things. Love
develops through mutual trust and respect. I've already walked the
walk and I learned that our potential is limited only by our
beliefs, our vision colored only by our past experiences, and our
internal dialogue contributes to our nation's future. As the First
Lady of Education, I want to teach through example. I want to show how
our thoughts are living entities and, indeed, do create our reality.
Look at our culture! We live in an atmosphere of argument where we
debate rather than dialogue. Oftentimes, we speak to each other using
violent metaphors. Is it any wonder that we talk to ourselves the same
way? During these uncertain times of fiery world events and
our disintegrating economy, we may wonder if we’ve entered
another dark age. It’s easy to feel frightened and sickened by our
collective human capacity for violence, exploitation, and the possible
destruction of our planet. But I know that we will not find our way to
peaceful coexistence if distrust and hostility become the hallmark of
our human relationships.
Success
takes imagination, focus, action, and grace. Learning to live with
life’s challenges takes great courage, faith, integrity, and
discipline. We must embrace change if we are to become greater than what
we are now. I've learned that it is through change and challenge that we
find out who we are. There is no defense strong enough to make us
invulnerable to the unpredictability of life. As First Lady, I will help
Dennis Kucinich bring his expanded awareness into the mainstream of
American thought. I believe that, through our example, we can bring
forth a new and expanded worldview.

off-the-grid and sustainable (Rose Garden to Organic Vegetable
Garden!). A sociable place that people could visit and learn
from and use as a model to create the kind of world we are all
envisioning. A home that is a planning place and springboard
for implementing the changes we and America want.
Dinner would give us a
chance to see if we are aligned that way, and if we are, well then, as
the song goes, "Why not you and me?"

STATEMENT
so,
like everyone else, i am a huge fan of kucinich. i was very depressed
about the options for president until i heard about him and he seemed to
good to be true because he has my politics. i would love to have a date
with dennis. okay, so i'm a little young, but we are all leftists here,
let's not be ageists! in december i will come back from doing just under
6 months of volunteer work and activism in palestine. i decided to come
out here after feeling like protesting the iraq war and civil
disobedience in the states was just no cutting it for me. i wanted to
feel and see for myself the consequences of u.s. foreign policy. i am a
student at an art school in los angeles. my major is photography and
media, but i also make films, draw, do installations, dance, have a band
where i sing, play some guitars, and keyboards, etc. my life pretty much
consists of helping other people and
creating.
the photo is of me
at the no war in iraq oscar protest. i dressed in a gown, wig, and tiara
and covered myself in blood, cuts, and bullet holes. in my interviews
that day i explained that i was wearing the costume to make the
statement that over a million iraqi's die from our sanctions, thousands
from our bombs and we do not see one of their faces on t.v. now, if one
famous person died, or a european or american was killed by a bomb it
would be all over every channel.

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
I would very much love the opportunity to go on a date with Dennis
Kucinich. What an honor! I've encompassed many stages of personal growth
in my life. I spent 5 years in my early twenties as an Air Force
linguist with a top secret clearance, and there saw many reasons
firsthand for changing our thinking in the military forum. That's where
I also began to form my political insights and opinions which go against
all that Bush and his agenda hold to be true. I then pursued a career in
art, obtaining a B.A. in Graphic Design from the University of Maryland.
In that capacity I could be invaluable to the Dennis for President
campaign, working with the design team to coordinate looks that are both
honest and appealing for him. I've been in business for myself for 10
years, creating mostly signature ids, books covers, and web design. I am
currently studying for a master's through a Ph.D. in natural medicine,
and feel strongly that our national health care systems need to pay for
natural medicine as well as the typical American doctors. In many cases,
eating a diet such as Dennis does and using natural remedies will
strengthen and heal the body in a far superior fashion to anything
traditional medicine has to offer.
If I were first lady I would be working toward that goal as well as
health-care for all as an absolute necessity. I find it outrageous that
many of us don't go to the doctor because we can't afford it. That can
and must change.
My crowning achievement to this point has been as founder of a national
nonprofit working to get dogs off chains and into the family. Dogs
deserve better than to live life at the end of a chain, and it's our job
as a society to take a stand and stop accepting this behavior toward
man's best friend.
Our motto for Dogs Deserve Better, which speaks to the rest of society
and our world as a whole, cannot be stated any clearer than Nelson
Mandela does: "For to be free is not merely to cast off one¹s
chains, but to live in a way that respects and enhances the freedom of
others."
That's what Dennis is doing, and he deserves to be commended for it. And
that's also what I will strive for the rest of my life.

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
Gee, I don't know about this First Lady thing. That's a major
commitment I don't think anybody should be expected to make after a
first date made over the internet. But getting together over dinner to
discuss mutual interests and concerns--I think that could be both
interesting and fun for both of us. Like you, I am deeply concerned
about issues that affect us as Americans. I have long been an advocate
of universal single-payer health care. I support public financing of
political campaigns and rules requiring the media to give candidates
free and low-cost air time. I respect and admire you for your principled
stand on a number of issues, and I can honestly say that you are one of
my role models--along with some other folks, like U.S. Representative
Barbara Lee of California, and the late Senator Paul Wellstone.
Years ago, as a
student, I opposed U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Now I am working
actively in my community, organizing to bring an end to the war in Iraq.
My background
includes work as a young lawyer in California for the United Farm
Workers Union, AFL-CIO; work as a legal aide lawyer in Bakersfield,
California; and later as a lawyer in private practice doing criminal
defense on a court-appointed basis for low-income clients. I moved back
to my childhood home in Chevy Chase Maryland in 1997.
I have
experimented some in the arena of politics--although my efforts have
been much more modest than your own--running low-budget, issue-oriented
campaigns for Congress in both California and Maryland. I am a Democrat
who is somewhat disillusioned with the Democratic Party as a whole, and
some of my best friends are Green. I am currently a candidate for
Congress in the Democratic Primary in Maryland, to be held on March 2,
2004.

"FUN." MR.
NEW HAMPSHIRE, that's WHAT THIS IS AND YOU MUST HAVE A SENSE OF HUMOR.
However, my belief is that being "first" IS NOT what one
should strive for. Being the "best you can be" and "doing
the right things" are what being "first" is about. If you
have the guts to go nationally with a contest like this, you have the
"balls" to be president. Good for you. I'm of Polish, Russian,
Orthodox Jewish ancestry which makes me a difficult candidate for any
relationship. A man would do better trying to pass a kidney stone than
being committed to someone with those preexisting conditions. I'm a 57
year old childless widow who resides in Boca Raton, Florida. I am
independent, financially secure, and enjoy challenges. I am childless
out of choice. Widowhood status not my call. My parents are 92 years old
and live in Troy, New York. They are my priorities and are being well
taken care of in an assisted living facility. Care for the elderly in
our country should be "first." My husband, who was a doctor,
passed away from AIDS in 1994. I was married for 25 years. He was the
love of my life and died in our home with hospice help. Finding cures
for devastating diseases should be a "first." Quality of life
issues for the citizens of our country should be a "first." My
life has been devoted to Hospice work, taking care of people, writing,
and believing that God has a plan for everything we do in our lives. I
have attached pictures, my website homepage will tell you everything you
need to know about a woman who has led an incredible life and will
accept no one or anything less than the best. Character, honesty,
discipline, passion, and compassion are the qualifications for my next
first man though I haven't been actively pursuing one. I am complete as
a woman unless someone knocks my socks off and rocks my boat. I do not
wear socks or have a boat. Both could be given to me as gifts and would
be politically acceptable.

Hello,
voters!
The successful marriage of two politically interested people transcends
party lines, and creates a team that allows both partners to function as
a graceful unit, and also to function more effectively as individuals.
It is not so vital what a candidate's wife's explicit political beliefs
are, but that she is able and willing to assist her husband in advancing
his political crusades in every way she feasibly can.
It is quite possible (and quite flattering to both the candidate and
herself!) for a candidate's wife to be both actively supportive of, and
a zealous participant in, her husband's career, without actually
wresting the limelight away from her husband.
Most fundamentally, a candidate's wife should be utterly patriotic, in
that her main concern is not obsessive bipartisanism, but the United
States of America itself.
Overall, the ideal winner of this contest will be interested primarily
in Dennis, not just in being the First Lady!

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
I
can't bring myself to write a statement that seems like I am
pandering, but I can tell you about myself as honestly as I can. I am
an Army "brat" and proud of it. I started first grade and
graduated from high school in Germany with several stops in between
and I still look at those times as some of my favorite. I have a BA in
history and am a thesis away from an MA, which I will write as
soon as I have time. I have written for alternate weeklies and
for the sheer pleasure of the word. I have been a teacher and a pizza
shop manager. I have worked at beachfront restaurants and at
hole-in-the-wall shops. I have been a DJ and wrote for and performed
in a comedy troupe that appeared on a local access channel (tape
available if you want). I ended up in computers quite by accident, but
discovered that I had an aptitude for it and stuck with it. I
currently work for a government agency and am a shop steward for my
union local. I will never be management material as I have this thing
about the good of the employees over maintaining the status quo.
Being a single parent, I
wear a lot of hats: breadwinner, cook, nurse and teacher. I recently
made the leap and bought my first house after renting or rooming with
a friend all my adult life. It is small and not the best in the world,
but it is something that I achieved by working hard and not giving up.
I have found that I CAN change a faucet or fix an electric outlet if
need be and I take pride in that. I would like to change a lot of
things on a much larger scope and I think that you feel the same way I
do about many of those things on my list: healthcare, labor, and
the needs of the people over the interests of a select few. Universal
health care is one of my big concerns as I lost a friend to cancer
because she didn't have insurance and received substandard care. No
one should ever have to go through that kind of agony in a country
that is supposed to be the standard-bearer for the world.
My politics have been described as seriously left of center. While a
registered Democrat for the purpose of voting, I vote my conscience so
my voting record is all over the map. I look at the issues and choose
the candidate that best matches what I believe in. If that makes me an
idealist, so be it. It also gets me in a lot of trouble because I am
very outspoken concerning things I am passionate about. I have a
very low tolerance for BS and like to think that I can detect a
"line" when I hear it. It drives management crazy to see me
coming down the hall with my little red contract book because they
know I love to fight for the right things.
Most days, due to my work, you will find me running around in baggy
overalls and 20-year old tie dye tees, but I do clean up pretty
nicely. You get the everyday picture because I think that you deserve to
see the real me, messy hair and all. You also get the bonus addition
of my daughter.
My daughter and you would get along as you and she both believe in the
interconnection of all things. She will tell you all about how
everything has feelings and how all of us are family (even animals and
inanimate objects) and that we should all take care of each other.
When it comes down to it, you can rank her as my best achievement...
Personal interests include all sorts of handicrafts, live theater-both
as observer and as participant on and off stage, and photography (I
have had a few exhibits). I am sure that there are a few skeletons in
my closet, but I don't have any problems with the doors being opened.

Totally, staunch
Democrat that has never missed an election since being eligible to
vote! Typical family problems while growing up...not miss
perfect. But, open communicator that is an absolute newsaholic
with strong beliefs! We live in a great country and need honesty
back in our higher offices.
Most would consider me
attractive, but, that is in the eye of the beholder. My basic
stats include long curly brown hair, green eyes, fair skin, 5' 2"
and on the slim side. Being health conscious is very important to
me and my partner would have to also be health conscious. I'm
single and have 2 children that don't live with me. Open
communication, patience, and tolerance or diversity are things I'd be
looking for in a partner.
I am a staunch Democrat that
is fairly liberal in my social views while being personally
conservative in my lifestyle. Educational background includes a
masters' in organizational management.
Establishment of a national
health care program is high on my wish list, along with maintaining a
women's right to complete reproductive freedoms.
We need to repeal the recent tax
cuts and use the money to bring down the national debt our
current President has created.
We need to re-establish the
good will the current administration has managed to squander. Violence
only begets more violence....just look at the Palestinian/Israeli
situation for your proof. The current administration has lost credibility
around most the world. It is time for a new administration. This
one only creates more terrorists! (Iraq may be becoming
a breeding ground for terrorism worse than the Taliban had) We
will never be at peace with Bush in office.
Our current President is out
of touch with average Americans along with being out of touch with
most of the world. Everything he does appears to be geared
towards helping large corporations that have been heavy campaign
contributors. Another reason he needs to go. He seems to
forget this is a country ruled by the people that vote. But, then
again...he was only selected by a court decision.
There is nothing
compassionate about Bush. I just want to contribute in any way
possible for his ouster and the reversal of the damage he has
done in many areas.
We may have a few more jobs,
but, most people don't realize that the numbers are misleading. Many
unemployed have been so for so long that they aren't counted anymore. And,
if they are...the wages are usually lower than from the jobs they
lost. The middle class in this country is drowning. Public
schools are losing badly needed funds to educate the masses. Are
Republican leaders trying to dumb us down??? Again, nothing
compassionate about Bush.
Ok, enough Bush bashing for
now. I just wanted to make my political views very clear.

PERSONAL
STATEMENT
Why
the Kucinich vision?
My company laid off 67,000 people this last year. I've seen the tears,
the struggle, the devastation that Bush's economic policies have
brought. I owe it to my former and current coworkers to see that
opportunity is once again within their grasp.
My family has escaped conflict and dictatorship on three fronts to find
freedom, friendship and opportunity in the United States. I was lucky
enough to be raised with their respect for the nation that gave them the
invaluable gift of peace and safety...and I consider it my duty to help
keep it that way.
I was born with a disability which has taught me, at once, about
respecting limits and redefining them. I have always been lucky enough
to be employed with health insurance but I can't even begin to imagine
how, in this economy, a family can deal with the cost of a chronic
illness or disability. It is time to make sure every person can
feel the system is working to better their health, not against it.
I am a writer and photographer and the right to expression is something
my heart cherishes and needs. The future of that freedom is being held
hostage by the current administration.
Why Kucinich?
A man of rare grace whose character is strong, honest and comforting;
whose motivation comes from a heart overflowing with a very genuine
compassion; whose mind of many layers is most intriguing.
I know it is not just my duty to vote but my responsibility to choose
the vision that will best benefit all Americans: A partnership with
Congressman Kucinich's vision for this country would be an honor,
whether that be as a voter, citizen or his First Lady. Best of luck in
both your quests!

with a sexy settled man who is as busy as I am. But a man not too busy
to want to spend some quality time getting to know each other and
keeping the home fires burning between our busy schedules. Dennis,
remember a successful relationship takes two individuals committed to
enjoying life and each other, where trust, mutual respect, understanding
and communication play an important role in smoothing out any rough
spots that come along the way.
With the right man by my side, I can offer a compliment to his
personality and support his dreams of living in the White House. Not to
mention, I am an accomplished wiz in the kitchen (just ask my friends),
I will be an asset in coordinating dinner parties and entertaining your

As
a single unattached woman, I would love to meet an attractive
intelligent man like Dennis. However, I would very much like to meet
Dennis Kucinich to discuss some ideas I have for an Internet system to
facilitate all the persons who are trying to take America back to peace
and prosperity that would require a small technical team and political
support of someone like Dennis. These ideas would apply to Dennis
Kucinich's proposed peace department which is a great idea! I have a
conceptual structure for a database-driven, moderated system to
coordinate information for everyone on the planet who is trying to move
us towards peace and prosperity. It is a powerful, yet simple idea that
I began working on in 1981 when I spoke at the 1981 Eastern College
Science Conference regarding a framework for tracking information needed
to transition society from a fossil fuel to an alernative energy based
society.
We are battling
now for more than America's future. We are battling to preserve modern
civilization. I have an idea for a way that the Democrats could work
together to convince the public to oust GW Bush and the Republicans in
2004, that might help tip the balance of public opinion.
